Today was a day of rest at home and go out with friend eat at night as well as call shar and said sorry was somethink that i what to siad about shar he this a CGL show LOVE and care to me ppl and thank you for the think you siad and huimin .
This two CGL was a gest ppl and that have the power of GOD .
I am happy to have to two CGL and go out with N289 was a good time and we can LOve GOD was so good .

And go out with "HOW "was go too and hope we can have more time to spend with and fun too.

HOW PPL : can we ever sun meet or mon night meet and eat or go out OK....

The Sermon was really very good!Pastor preached about Zacharias and Elizabeth, who are the parents of John the Baptist.Luke 1:5-75There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah. His wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. 6And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. 7But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.The Bible tells us that Zacharias and Elizabeth were both righteous and blameless before God. However, Elizabeth was barren.In today's context, it would mean that they are great Christians who prayed, tithed and served God fervently.Interesting thing about them, was that when their breakthrough came, they were Not Ready to receive it! God was going to give them a great Xmas Present, but they said NO!

They were so used to barrenness, that they were indifferent to change. In fact, God had to shut Zacharias up, as he was saying the wrong things! His old lifestyle of barrenness, was hindering his faith in God.Death and life lies in the power of the tongue, and our man Zacharias was saying the wrong things!
A contemporary example : U may look the part by dressing well and looking sharp, but if your speech does not match up to it, you would hinder your promotion and your level of influence automatically diminishes.I believe that this is precisely why we need to be people who are full of faith, and yet well read at the same time. If not, we will not become 'pillars of influence' in the society we live in!The old lifestyle of barrenness - TraditionThe breakthrough - TransitionThe fruitfulness - TransformationNo one likes change, but every time, if we want a revival, it means CHANGE!

Arise and Build

A New Milestone
Today was Our Building Fund Weekend, where we "Arise and Build", to build God a new house.
Taxi drivers- Told my members the other day, that when we were at Jurong, it was interesting that when I took a taxi to Jurong West St 91, the taxi drivers' comments would range passionately from, "this church is very nice" to " this church has a lot of Millionaires!"
Now when I tell them to go to Expo, they will just simply say that "This church has a lot of people!"
This milestone is important to us. In our personal walk, spiritual habits like tithing and joining a ministry, represent our progressive milestones. Our sacrifices during this time represents our milestones as a church! We have got to move on!
Ps. Kong preached appropriately, - "It's not just building a building, but it's about building lives!"
As we give to a greater cause, we are building greater opportunities for the Kingdom of God, greater opportunities for our families and for a new generation to arise.
We are believing that our families will have a great stadium for us to build our lives in!

City Harvest Church - Ps Kong Hee

Ps Kong preached a great sermon about having Confidence in God.
This identity issue is a very important issue, and one where we need to have a Revelation. In fact, it is so important, that Jesus faced this issue, before He was officially launched out into His ministry. His confidence in God was tested as he faced the devil in Matt 4.
When tested, the devil quoted Scripture. Jesus therefore had to be confident in God, and in the modus operandi (the way to do things) that God had given to Him.
He could do things God's way or the devil's way.

It is just like what the Bible says, about seed sown on stony places. In Matt 13:20-21 it says:
20But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
If we want to face this world and become overcomers, we got to be "rooted in ourselves". We definitely got to be 'rooted' in God, and be confident about our identity in God.
As we go into 2008, let's be comfortable about the values we uphold:
We have the:
Great Commandment - where we put God first
Great Commission - where we go out and make disciples of all men
Culture Mandate - where we stay relevant to society and continue to be the light
We can't please everyone, but we got to stay true to what we need to achieve in our generation. Just like the example given to us by Jesus. He was so 'different' from the people of that time, that even John the Baptist asked whether He was the Messiah (Matt 11:3).
Jesus reply was to look at the fruits!
Although Jesus hung out prostitutes and ate with tax collectors, the miracles and the fruits of God followed Him.
With that John was convinced about the ministry of Jesus.
In Matt 11:18-19, Jesus goes on to say:
18For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, ‘He has a demon.’ 19The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ But wisdom is justified by her children."
In other words, let's not be focused on the outward appearances, but lets examine the fruits of the ministry.
By that wisdom is justified!

Today was a busy day

On friday the cgm huimin share simple sermon about identity in christ.
huimin siad we got to no who we are in life .
